By adopting the advanced tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology, which is mainly applied to the detection of gas pipeline leaks, Discovery-ME1 can simultaneously measure the methane and ethane contents. It can be used to distinguish between natural gas and biogas. Compared with traditional gas leakage detection technologies, the laser technology can quickly determine whether there is a gas leak, has higher detection sensitivity, a longer service life, and is a high-tech product that conforms to the development of the times.
